Life is like Juhu Beach

Bina had a nice sleep, took bath and was feeling refreshed and happy when I walked in at 10 am. We have been talking and just being with each other all day. She is sleeping off and on, complaining of things sometimes but generally is calm and thankful. It is nice to catchup knowing that there is nothing to do and nowhere to go.

Every morning I walk on the same beach and same path. But, every time the ocean and the beach bring in  surprises. Some of it is  pleasant and other times it is ugly and dirty but it is always different.
If i walk long enough, I always find clean sections, even lush garden, calm places and beautiful buildings and if I keep walking I always run into a whole lot of Shxx and this is where I think life is just like Juhu Beach. I suspect if i walk long enough, i can navigate the SHxx area and find the calm serene beach again. But, just as in real life, I get scared of the unpleasant and turn back rather than accepting and navigating through it.
Today I walked alone ( no Shalini),walked more and observed more. Here are few samples:
Joggers at Sunrise

Old man and the sea

Ghopar Patti ( slum houses) next to Five star hotel at Juhu Beac
Kids practicing Wrestling

Beautiful homes
Only in India, one sees extreme poverty right next to luxury homes and five star hotels. The living conditions of these slums are so bad that no wonder there are piles of poo all over the beach around these areas. Can you blame inhabitants for this? Where are they supposed satisfy their "nature's call"

If I was born in one of these slums, will I be any different? Most probably not. Just because I am lucky to be born where i did, I have no right to judge these poor people...something to think and wonder about ?
