Laughing Buddha and an elegant lady doctor

It was a beautiful morning at Juhu beach. Crows were busy collecting trash for nesting, cleaners were trying to get ahead of the trash and people were trying all forms of exercises. A laughing Buddha greeted me by the waves and I knew it will be a wonderful day.

When I got to Sonu's home, Bina was in good spirits. She walked a little, went to the bathroom (  with little support) , we talked about how beautiful she will look with the scarf Ritu had provided. As you can see, she looks herself...an Elegant, distinguished Surgeon..Dr. Bina Goel

Dr. Bina Goel

She is talking normal and has not used oxygen for last three hours.  She is saying let's get rid of this oxygen....ooops..this is real time blog :)

I asked  ( what's apped) my doctor brother and nephew ( Shekhar and Gaurav) in Indore, in the mean time my engineer brother , Kukki, responded saying check the O2 saturation. Sure enough, the O2 saturation was dropped to 70%..a minor panic...all is well now. Oxygen is back on and so is bi pep and O2 saturation is 90%. Doctors in the family said, "  do not remove oxygen suddenly, do it slowly over time. " Thankfully they did not say, " Do not use your engineer mind but consult us first" :)
The internet, technology and bunch of engineers and doctors in the family definitely make the  care giving more fun and community affair. I can only imagine how stressful it would have been if i was all alone and had such  panics...Very thankful for technology as well as family.
We have a whats app group named , " Mom's care givers". People who are immediately involved and have inputs are the members and we check this ALL the time. Any questions, emergency or concern, supplies to be bought, or appointments to be made,  is shared and the expert on the question responds  in real time. All the reports are photocopied and shared in the group site for us to share and give expert opinions. SO far, the community care giving is working out very well.
We have real time communication with doctors and caregivers in Indore, Mumbai, USA, UK .

I am happy and relaxed that Bina is doing well and am very thankful for the support from family and friends who are also family
