First outing: I wanted coffee shop, Bina insisted Temple.....

Guess who won :)

She came in the car with us, without any oxygen and walked in the temple with little or no support. She walks fast but has little confidence. It is like little kids learning to walk again..one step at a time.
The temple is near Ritu's home and is small, clean and beautiful. It has statues of Ganesh and Shiva. Ganesh is son of Shiva and Shiva is one of the trinity Gods of Hindu trinity. Hindus worship Ganesh before starting anything new. So, it was appropriate for her ot go to Ganesh temple before starting her LIFE 2.0 . ( Saurabh, our nephew, came from Malaysia to see her and reminded her that she is starting her LIFE 2.0 and has to use the chance to be happy and live for herself. ) Story of why Ganesh is worshipped before anyone else has to do with why he had Elephant head and that is a long story about how his  Dad Shiva had to put elephant head on him and then to compensate for it, gave him the blessing that , he will always be worshipped before anyone starts anything new. Shiva dates back to prehistoric days of 10,000 BC and is said to have been found in the archaeologic digs of Indus Valley civilization.  It seems to me that praying, meditating, being grateful  or doing anything that can distract the mind and keeps it occupied, helps in dealing with the fear of unknown and things that are not in our control.  Bina has been an amazing example of controlling the fear and living with gratitude and love. We all try to help but we know it is not easy to live with the discomfort, pain and dependence on loved ones.

Saurabh came from Malaysia and spent the day with Bina. She was very happy to see him and spent all day talking and planning the trip to Malaysia.

Fresh morning catch and yoga ...
I dragged myself out of bed this morning and went for a walk and was rewarded with wonderful sunrise, cricket, fishing boats and walkers...

Morning walkers, discussing politics and life, after a walk.

Fishing is done in old fashioned way and is fun to see the boats bringing the fresh catch and the crows circling them. Would be cricket champions play all over the beach in the cool air of the morning. I wonder how is it that they manage not to hit anyone...

Good night...

Enjoy the beauty of pre monsoon sunset....
