Beach was fun as always. Saw Ganesh status in the waves ( people offer these to the ocean as a part of Pooja). We always seem to see new things every time we go to the SAME beach: There was sand castle competition, beach art , colorful entrance to ?? and the Ganesh..
Big day today: We are being released from the hospital tomorrow and will get to go home first thing in the morning. Bina is very happy, took a bath for the first time, no oxygen tubes for a while and just relaxed. Doctors were running around getting all the tests done. Everything is cleared , pain is gone, she just feels tired ( from Chemo) and breathless ( from a long time history of Asthma and some issues with lungs). We will take the oxygen home and hopefully she can wean off it in coming weeks. Next Chemo is scheduled for Friday. It will be a day trip to the hospital, otherwise she will stay home with Ritu and Sonu ( her daughter in law and son) . Ritu has arranged all the necessary stuff at home and they will have a full time nurse to help out with the care. I feel good that Bina has a loving family to take care of her at home and she will not be alone during this process. Not sure how many more Chemo are needed...
We did our lunch adventure to another trendy place called , " Fat Man's Cafe". Their rules board says, " Chew slowly, do not slurp, say excuse me when you burp"...it is a fun place with good food.

| No tubes, ready to go home |
We did a little shopping in Santa Cruz, a suburb of Mumbai. It is a bazar filled with stuff and shoppers. This is where most of the middle class shops. Even in the evening it is 90 degrees and 90% humidity. We went in driver driven air conditioned mini van.( getting totally spoiled :) shopped quickly and got out. If it was not so hot, i would have loved to wander around. May be I will do that after Bina settles down a bit.
Shalini is leaving tomorrow after Bina goes home. I will miss her company. It was very nice for her to take time off to come all the way. It did make a big difference to Bina and to family in general. I feel no facebook or other video chat can replace the face to face bonding.
Good night, need to get going with moving Bina home..
